Hi and Thankyou. I am a mature mother of four great children, I am also in my last year of my Bachelor Degree to become a primary teacher. It is nice to see that at last here is someone who is walking the walk, Thankyou for sharing, I am am a Aussie Kiwi, born in Victoria but now living in NZ, maybe one day will venture back that way.
hi,
I’m an elementary teacher in a private school in Brazil (bi-lingual program)-following the American curriculum.
am preparing my presentation on cooperative learning for the AASA conference this april (american schools in south America)…and so am researching and your words came upon my research path…
Loved the ideas you shared with us and especially enjoyed visualizing a school which is more like a conference.
I could visualize schools where you walk in and groups come together through synchronicity- following the idea that we are all at the right time and the right place with the right people- and where students could gravitate towards the day- students of different ages, exploring different areas of knowledge and life and experience… I think that one day this will be possible- we must visualize! Beyond the curriculum and obligations dictated by bureocratic systems!
would like to read more of what you say… will add you to my list.
nice to meet you.
xx

Hi! So many of my teachers at Presbyterian Day School in Memphis, Tn and I LOVE what you say. I was wondering if you would possibly be interested in presenting at our TeachMeet/InnovatED conference on April 7, 2011. It would such an inspiring time to hear and learn from you. If you are interested PLEASE email me or look at our site (http://innovateducation.wikispaces.com/) and sign up. We would work with you on the time so that it would work best for you. Many thanks. (And if not just keep on blogging because every post is inspiring!)

Hi “Ed”,
Just discovered your blog and plan to share two of your “10 ways…” lists with a group of paraprofessionals next week. We are focusing on how important it is to have dialogue and thoughtful conversation about literature in the classroom. I love your very succinct list of 10 ways to create a culture of thinking and, maybe, as we discuss your list they will add other ways to it. If so, I will send them on…
Thanks for putting your thoughts on “paper”. It has inspired me once again and I have been at this 45 years!
Keep it coming and I’ll be up reading…
This is a great blog. You were suggested as a blog that might be great to feature on the new TeacherCast iPhone app.
If you are interested in being featured, please let us know

Hi Edna – I really liked “10 questions to provoke change…” it reflects our experience with a ‘deschooling’ experiment we are running in an International School environment… I would be interested in discussing possible collaboration – if you are interested… thanks for sharing your experience and thinking.
Hello Edna,
I just clicked on your school’s link http://ibo.org/pyp/, and I am utterly intrigued. Thank you for giving me the chance to explore a curriculum based on self and other exploration.
Hi Edna, I am an old dog learning new tricks and your blog has been an inspiration to me. I am involved with a group of educators who share a passion of inquiry in their lives and in their profession here in Edmonton, Canada. We are working on a conference called Beyond the Classroom and I will be suggesting some of these ideas as discussion points. I am happily working my way through your archives.

Hi Sandy
I’d be interested to hear more about your conference.
Hi Edna! Brilliant post about differentiation. Thanks for writing it so clearly. A quick question for you: was the blog picture (from the home page) taken in Brazil?
Take care,
Adri
Yes, my daughter took it in Paraty. I usually answer the comments on this page by email, but yours is unusual!
Bonjour Edna! I teach Grade 4/5 in a French Immersion school in Ontario, Canada. Your blog is amazing! The topics you discuss are so important! I love the 10 ways…series of articles. Thank you for enlightening all of us who want to be better teachers/mentors in our classrooms!
Merci!
Anny
Hello Edna, I’m editing a book for the IBO on communities of practice. Could you get in touch with me at cdw2@mac.com to have a conversation about possibly contributing to the book? Your blog, the connected educator ideas, etc. are right up the book’s alley! (You were recommended by Allie McKay at IB Publications.) Thanks, Dale Worsley
Hi Edna,
I love the way you share your learning reflections on your blog. I taught with the British IB schools 12 years ago. I had training with PYP in Nice France. Would love to take part in the pypchat. I am teaching back in Ontario Canada Junior French Immersion. I continue to learn with my students on the inquiry process and using technology as a tool to present the thinking and reflecting on the learning. I am not sure if the PYP has changed much since I left in 2004. I will be joining your chat tomorrow.
Rola.
Hi Edna,
I would like to send you the planner for the Explorers unit done in Grade 4 at NIS. Can you let me know how to get this to you?
Thanks,
Marina
